I notice that some water leaks into my cup at the beginning of the brewing when I make a coffee with home compostable capsules. Why does this happen? Does it affect the taste of my coffee?

With the home compostable capsules, sometimes a couple of drops of water leak into the cup at the beginning of brewing. Paper capsules do not interact with the Nespresso machine in the exact same way as our aluminum capsules. In the Nespresso system, it takes slightly longer for the machine to pierce the paper-based capsule, and sometimes a very small amount of water can flow around the capsule and into the cup. A few water drops should not affect the taste or aroma of your coffee, nor the in-cup result. We continue to work on this innovation to improve your experience.
