Slow, steady blinking: the machine is heating up (about 25–40 seconds), then the light becomes steady and the machine is ready to use.
Fast, steady blinking (Essenza Mini, Plus, Inissia, Pixie, Citiz): the machine is in descaling mode—press and hold both buttons for 5–6 seconds to exit, or the machine may be overheated; let it cool for at least 30 minutes.
All 9 buttons blinking (Atelier): the machine needs priming; lift the lever, attach the milk frother, and start any milk recipe.
