We are pleased to offer our customers the chance to recycle their old coffee machine or milk device free of charge within 28 days of purchasing a new electrical item from us, on a like‐for‐like basis. This means when you purchase a coffee machine, we’ll recycle your old coffee machine for free, or when you purchase an Aeroccino we’ll recycle your old milk device for free, regardless of the brand or where it was purchased. We are not currently accepting any battery powered devices, or other electrical items.
The coffee machine is dismantled for recycling. Machine components are then categorised and turned into new products.
At this time, we only offer the recycling service when the machine was purchased directly from a Nespresso Boutique or our website. If you purchased your machine from another retailer, please check their guidance on WEEE recycling.
Currently, we are only offering an in-store take back service. If you don’t have a Boutique nearby each local authority also accept household WEEE free of charge at its recycling facilities. Use the links below to find the collection point closest to you.

How does it work?
Within 28 days of purchasing a new electrical item from Nespresso, bring your old coffee machine or milk device into one of our Nespresso Boutiques in the UK or Republic of Ireland. Please ensure the item has been cleaned before it is returned for recycling, cleaning any milk / liquid residue from milk devices, and removing any capsules from coffee machines (find information on our website for how to recycle capsules). Please return the item in its original packaging, or a similar sized cardboard box. Remember to bring the receipt of the new item you have purchased.
