Make sure you have regularly descaled the machine, as the presence of limescale can affect its proper functioning.
Insert a previously dampened brush and gently rub the bristles on the inside of the compartment, specifically on the rough surface that punctures the silver membrane of the capsule.
Continue with circular motions until the brush appears clean. Close the capsule holder, turn on the machine, and dispense a small amount of water to eliminate any coffee residue.

If necessary, repeat the previous step until the dispensed water is almost clear.
