Nespresso has a strong focus on making it easier to recycle, as well as motivating our customers to recycle their capsules.
All used aluminiumNespresso capsules can be delivered at the following locations;in all Nespresso boutiques, send with the courier who delivers new coffee or other mail delivery at home delivery (if you are at home), at selected recycling stations, and from June 2019 also in all Posten across the country.For more information about post offices: https://www.posten.no/kart. For capsules to be sent by Posten, the capsules must be delivered in Nespressorecycling bag. No return note are necessary. If you drink Nespresso at work, your company can recycle all types of Nespresso capsules using Nespresso's own recycling box.
In Norway, over 15% of all Nespresso capsules are recycled and this increases every month. We are proud that we now cover 97% of the country with many different return points, which helps to increase the number of recycled capsules every day.
Capsules left for recycling get a new life; the aluminum is processed into other aluminum products, such as bumpers and bicycles. Note that capsules that are not recycled through Nespresso's dedicated system are processed into energy in local incinerators.
