Why is my coffee machine not working?

If your coffee machine is not working properly, check the most common issues that you can resolve yourself in just a few minutes.

Most common problems:

 

The machine does not turn on


Make sure the machine is properly plugged into the power outlet.
Try plugging it into a different outlet.


Check that all components are correctly installed (e.g. the water tank).


The machine is not drawing water


If the machine is airlocked, fill the water tank completely and run a rinse cycle (dispense one cup of water without inserting a capsule).


If there is limescale buildup inside the machine, perform descaling according to the instructions.


The coffee is cold


Perform descaling – there is likely limescale buildup inside the machine.


After turning the machine on, wait until it has fully heated up before starting the brewing process.
