How can I recycle my capsules?

Nespresso is committed to making it as easy as possible to recycle used capsules. Across the U.S., we offer recycling bags with pre-paid UPS shipping labels in 48 states, and you can bring used capsules to one of 88,000 UPS drop-off locations or 250 collection points at select retailers and Nespresso Boutiques across the country.

Once the capsules are collected via the recycling bag program, they are sent to recycling facilities, which separate the aluminum from the coffee grounds to give them both a second life. The aluminum is processed and, ultimately reused to make new products, such as pens or bikes. The coffee grounds can be turned into nutrient-rich compost and topsoil.

In New York City and in buildings lower than 6 stories in Jersey City, NJ, you can recycle used Nespresso capsules through the city’s curbside recycling program.
