1. Make sure the machine is plugged into a stable power supply and turned on. If it was off, turn on, then close and re-open the Nespresso App.
2. Make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong.
3. Launch the Nespresso App, tap the machine icon, and select the box that says “Connectivity”.
4. The Nespresso App will search for Wi-Fi networks. If none are detected, select “Refresh” at the bottom of the screen.
5. If the machine powers off, be sure to turn it back on (it powers off after 2 minutes of inactivity).
6. If no Wi-Fi networks are located, close the Nespresso App, make sure the machine is on and repeat from step 3 above.
7. Once your Wi-Fi network is located, select it and enter your password and tap connect.
8. Once the connection is successful, select OK.
9. Under Connectivity the machine should say “Connected."

1. Login to your Nespresso.com account, then click here and delete the Vertuo Next from your registered machines.2. Factory reset the machine. Go to the machine assistance page for instructions: Nespresso ES | Service assistance for your coffee machine | Nespresso™
3. Make sure the machine is plugged in and turned on. The machine will power off after 2 minutes of inactivity so make sure the machine stays on.

5. Make sure your phone software is up-to-date and your Nespresso App is the most recent version.
6. Make sure Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Location Services are all turned on.
7. Place your smart device directly on top of the machine with no obstructions.
8. Launch the Nespresso App, and attempt pairing again.
9. Remember that the machine needs to be on throughout the pairing process and connecting to Wi-Fi. If it powers off, turn it back on.

The message you received is due to quality checks during manufacturing. We assure you that your machine is brand new and was not used before you. We ask you to perform a factory reset by following these steps:
1. Open and close machine head.
2. Leave the lever in the unlocked position.
3. Press and release the button to turn the machine ON, and wait for a steady white light.
4. Quickly press the button 5 times in 3 seconds. The button will blink 5 times orange and then will change to steady white.

Nespresso Vertuo uses an intelligent extraction system that recognizes each Grand Cru blend, developed to adjusts the extraction parameters (as the temperature, flow and volume of water and infusion time) to automatically create the perfect coffee.

The temperature is a designed parameter to ensure the best result in-cup and is different from one blend to another. Each blend is specifically created (strict bean selection, expert blending, roasting and grinding) for the best interplay and harmony with the specifically defined brewing parameters produced by the Nespresso VertuoLine machine.
In general, the coffees can be consumed directly after brewing. If you wish to drink your coffee hotter, you can preheat your cup by rinsing it with hot water and we also advise to warm up your milk before mixing it with the coffee.
Certain coffees with more delicate aromatic notes are extracted with slightly lower temperature profile which helps to preserve these specific notes. Some coffees with more body and high intensity tend can be brewed at higher temperature.

The caffeine content in every espresso can vary between 55 and 65 mg. The Lungo varieties contain 20% more coffee per capsule so they have about 77 and 89 mg. of caffeine content.
This difference depends on the green coffee (Arabica or Robusta), the degree of roasting and the coffee origin.
There is no relation between the assigned intensity and the quantity of caffeine.

The content of calories of an espresso is insignificant. There are 300 Kcal. in 100 grams of roasted and ground coffee. Nespresso capsules contain 5,5 grams of coffee on average.
Bearing in mind that the coffee ground is not consumed directly but it is dissolved in water, the quantity of calories is even less.
An espresso cup contains approximately 0,6 calories while a lungo cup contains approximately 1 calorie.

Nespresso capsules have a best-before date, which is printed on the end of each sleeve of 10 capsules. Once this date has passed, the coffee is still totally fine to drink, but we can't guarantee that the quality of its aromas will not be unchanged.

The physical acidity of a coffee should not be confused with the acidity that can be noted in the mouth. All coffees have a low level of physical acidity, and the Nespresso coffees have a pH of between 4.9 and 5.2. There are no coffees with a specifically high or low acidity in our coffee range.

Aluminium is the material that keeps our coffees at their freshest, retaining all their aromas, as it totally protects the coffee from the effect of external agents such as air and light.

For Pixie, Essenza and CitiZ you can reset your cup buttons like this:
With your machine turned off, press and hold the large cup button while you turn the machine on. Release the large cup button after 3 seconds.
For the new generation Essenza and CitiZ:
With your machine turned off press and hold the large cup button for 5 seconds. The leds will fastly blink 3 times to confirm the machine has restored the factory program. Once the ligths are fixed the machine will be ready.

To reset your cup buttons of your Nespresso Lattissima machine follow the instructions below:
- Original Lattissima: With your machine turned on, press and hold the standby button until all four cup buttons start to blink.
- Lattissima Premium: With your machine turned on, remove the hot water nozzle, hold the milk and hot water buttons for 5 seconds until all buttons blink.
- Lattissima Plus: Press and hold all four cup buttons for 5 seconds with your machine turned on until all buttons blink.
All Lattissima machines can have each of their cup buttons reprogrammed simply by holding the button down until it pours your desired amount of coffee. To program a capuccino or macchiato button, hold it until it pours your desired milk quantity. Then hold it a second time until it pours your desired coffee quantity. This cup button will reproduce the same proportions the next time it is pressed.

3D Secure is a service that allows you to transact online securely with your cards. It is an additional step that you must complete after finishing your order, that informs you that you must validate the transaction with your bank before completing the purchase. This additional step in the order process is controlled by the bank that issued the card, not Nespresso.
